- Sold in complete units, the Eaton A27 & B27 definite purpose starters combine C25 definite purpose contactors with XT series bi-metallic ambient compensated adjustable overload relays – in a NEMA type 1 metallic enclosure
- No heaters required
- Eaton definite purpose starters include C25 contactor, XT type adjustable overload relay & manual reset mounted to NEMA 1 metallic enclosure
- Class 10 trip class
- Trip free mechanism
- For the most reliable motor protection, always select your starter based on the FLA current reading on the motor data plate
- Always confirm the supply voltage to ensure safe installation of motor controls
- Refer to the applicable electric codes in your area for information on selecting the proper wire size & securing electrical connections
- Install adequately sized power leads to protect against excessive voltage drop during start-up
- Each Eaton Definite Purpose Starter is a Three Phase, 3-Pole unit. Eaton adds a jumper wire from L2 to T2 to convert from 3-pole to 2-pole for B27 single phase units. To convert an Eaton starter from single to three phase, remove the jumper wire. To convert from three phase to single phase, simply add a jumper wire
